We are looking for someone that is eager to learn and has an outgoing personality. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly with homeowners and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Irrigation experience is not required, but would be a plus.

• Troubleshoot & repair components of commercial & residential irrigation systems
• Repair & maintain valves
• Install & program controllers
• Locate existing zones and valves
• Perform pump and sprinkler head repairs & replacement
• System activations & winterization

Heinen Landscape and Irrigation, a full service locally owned landscape, irrigation and maintenance company, is looking to hire a f/t application technician to learn and grow with our outstanding company. We are looking for someone that is eager to learn and has an outgoing personality. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly with homeowners and conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Responsible for applying fertilizers, herbicides, and seed depending on season to keep lawns as weed free and green as possible. Accurately and safely calibrate, record, and apply chemicals to designated landscaped areas to maintain or improve the condition of the plant materials or turf.

• Monitor targeted areas for potential and existing problems
• Work independently or with others under little or no supervision
• Maintain current, accurate records of products used, problems encountered, or other information essential to the job *Lift and carry items weighing in excuses of 50 lbs
• Maintain and safely operate various equipment, including a spray truck, backpack sprayers, rotary and drop spreaders, and all related application and calibration products
• Keep vehicles, machinery, and tools in good repair and working order
• Meet department expectations
• Continuously Improve knowledge, education, & industry awareness
• Availability during winter months to participate in snow removal activities

Good communication skills, clean-cut personality, and willing to work in a TEAM environment.

Must currently have or be able to obtain a Chemical Applicator’s Certification utilizing company training and assistance.

Average 45+ hours/week. Typically from 7:00 AM till 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Some Saturdays may be required to accommodate clients’ needs and work around weather conditions.

Heinen Landscape and Irrigation, a full service locally owned landscape, irrigation and maintenance company, is looking to hire a f/t Hardscape Technician to learn and grow with our outstanding company. Candidate must be able to communicate clearly with homeowners and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Will learn and execute proper landscaping techniques and utilize equipment, power tools, small machinery, and hand tools to carry out full service installations and proper handling of all materials.

Execute strong attention to detail and personal integrity including working with a team or independently. Will routinely load/unload vehicles and safely transport equipment and materials to job site. Individuals must be physically capable of properly lifting heavy materials on a regular basis. Play a major role in the installation process of Hardscapes including; patios, walkways, steps and retaining walls.

• Follow Project instructions from the Crew Foreman and execute tasks efficiently
• Offer assistance and effective time in other areas of the company
• Become a reliable resource for Hardscape installations
• Keep vehicles, machinery, and tools in good repair and working order
• Meet department expectations
• Continuously improve knowledge, education, & industry awareness
• Availability during winter months to participate in snow removal activities

Strong candidates will be able to work well following instructions from the crew foreman, handling appointed responsibilities and helping others to achieve their goals. Should have good knowledge of Hardscapes, working knowledge of equipment, good communication skills, clean-cut personality, and willing to work in a TEAM environment.

• Experience with skidsteer and mini-excavator operation is a plus!

Average 45+ hours/week. Typically from 7:00 AM till 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Some Saturdays may be required to accommodate clients’ needs and work around weather conditions.

Will play a major role in the installation process of landscapes including; shrubs, trees, perennials, mulch and topsoil. Learn and execute proper landscaping techniques and utilize equipment, power tools, small machinery, and hand tools to carry out full-service installations and proper handling of all materials.

Execute strong attention to detail and personal integrity including working with a team or independently. Will routinely load/unload vehicles and safely transport equipment and materials to job site. Individuals must be physically capable of properly lifting heavy materials on a regular basis.
