Sunset Hills Yard Receives an Evergreen Makeover

Heinen Landscape recently worked with a long-time Sunset Hills customer in Kansas City to transform a dying area into an outdoor centerpiece. Thanks to the landscape pros at Heinen, a previously overgrown area of the customer’s property (that had been overtaken by a large and severely overhanging dead tree), is part of a beautifully landscaped yard the customer will be able to enjoy for many years to come.

Heinen Landscape first removed the dead tree resulting in a very large and barren patch in the lawn. Heinen and the customer considered a wide variety of options to beautify the open area, deciding on a combination of Pink Dogwoods, Arborvitae, and Vanderwolf Pines. This was a great solution for this particular yard as theaddition of a combination of evergreen plant materials – professionally designed and installed by Heinen Landscape – not only would provide the home wind protection during Kansas City’s cold winter months, but also flowering trees and shrubs during the spring and summertime.
