Little Quick Fire Hydrangea
These lovely flowering shrubs typically bloom one month earlier than other hydrangeas. In early summer, small-to-medium-sized white flowers will blossom all over the shrub and as summer progresses they will change from white to soft pink to dazzling red. These shrubs do best with full to partial sun exposure and will grow 3-5 ft tall and 3-5 ft wide. Another bonus, they are a favorite among butterflies and will regularly attract them to your yard.
Serbian Spruce
This elegant spruce varietal is an incredibly hardy evergreen that grows in a pyramidal shape, yet remains quite narrow. They typically can grow to 50-60 ft in height and around 20-25 ft wide. Its graceful, upward-sweeping branches are covered with glossy needles that feature a small white streak along the bottom, giving the overall spruce a lovely silvery appearance.
Shenandoah Switch Grass
If you are a fan of ornamental grasses, then you definitely want to check this looker out. Shenandoah Switch Grass is known for its bright red-tipped leaves that emerge in spring and darken to a rich burgundy throughout the summer months and into fall. During the summer, it also produces airy, reddish-pink flowers. The foliage and flowers will stay intact throughout the cold winter months. It’s this year-round longevity and full texture which makes this ornamental grass great for landscaping design.
Wildfire Blackgum Tree
These trees make stunning additions to any landscaping project. New growth in the spring starts out bright red and turns to a lush, dark green. Come fall, the leaves again change to vibrant yellows, oranges, reds, and burgundies. It’s perfect for larger residential properties because they typically grow 30-50 ft tall with a width around 20-30 ft in a pyramidal shape.
Yellowwood Tree
This showy shade tree grows to 30-50 ft tall and 30-50 ft wide. Its low branches and rounded canopy provide great natural shade with stunning beauty to boot. In mid-May, white flowers appear creating a bold springtime display. Those flowers eventually give way to fresh green foliage for summertime and, when fall arrives, the color pops to striking yellow.
